Communications 9 – Projet de Recettes Realisé par: Reina et Shannon Yields one 12" pizza crust Ingredients: 1 3/4 cup All purpose flour 1 tbsp Instant Yeast 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp sugar 3/4 cup water tsp olive oil 1 tbsp cornmeal (not to be confused with corn starch) Directions: 1. in a large bowl, combine 375 ml flour, yeast, salt and sugar. 2. Heat water and olive oil in microwave until very warm (high for 60 seconds) 3. With a wooden spoon, stir in the warm liquid mixture into the flour mixture all at once. 4. Beat mixture well. Gradually add just enough of the remaining flour to make soft dough. ( Dough should be soft but not sticky) 5.Turn dough onto lightly floured board and knead for 10 minutes. 6.Oil dough ball lightly. Cover in plastic wrap and let rest for 10 minutes. 7. Preheat oven to 500 F. Place oven racks at lowest level in oven. Using a rolling pin (on a lightly floured board) or your fingers; form dough to fit pan, leaving a lip/crust at edge. 10. Spread tomato sauce on dough. Sprinkle with 1/3 cheese. 11. Arrange toppings. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. 12. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until pizza base is crispy. Pizza Toppings: 1/3 cup pasta or pizza sauce 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp basil 1/2 tsp powder garlic 1 cup grated mozzarella (optional) Pepperoni, sliced Tomatoes, chopped Onion, finely chopped Green pepper, slivered Olives sliced Pineapple, chunks
